Branch Executive - Change of Email Addresses

As part of the revamp of the website and related technology, the email addresses we use for the Chairman, Secretary and some other members of the Branch Committee are being changed.  It is a subtle but important change and has been done to enhance our emailing security.  Previously our email addresses were suffixed by @narposuffolk.org.uk but the words narpo and suffolk have been changed around, so the Chairman's address is now This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. and the Secretary's address is This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.  The addresses for the Area Secretaries and Welfare Co-ordinators have similarly been changed and if in any doubt you can find those on this website on the 'About' heading under the 'Contact' pages but you will need to be logged in to the Member Area to access those.  Whilst the old addresses will continue to function for a limited period, we ask all members to change their Address Book to the new email addresses with immediate effect please.  ALSO REGULARLY CHECK YOUR JUNK/SPAM BOX TO MAKE SURE ANY EMAILS GENERATED THROUGH OUR WEBSITE MAILING SYSTEM HAVE NOT BEEN DIRECTED THERE.  Thank you.

Scams - Many and Various

We regularly receive details of various scams from members who have been the subject of them or made aware of same by a third person.  Most, if not all, of those are reported to Action Fraud.

Beware HMRC Scams!!

Some of our members have recently received an email purportedly from HMRC informing them that they are due an income tax rebate.  There are a number of links on the email asking the receiver to create a Government Gateway account, how to start a claim and details of the rebate.  THIS IS A PHISHING SCAM EMAIL and is NOT from HMRC.  If anyone receives something similar the advice is NOT to click on any of the links and to delete it immediately.
